Is this upper pin too morked to use?

Guys, when I disassembled my front end I found that one of my upper inner pins had rusted to its bushing sleeve. I cleaned it up with a Dremel wire wheel, but it looks pretty rough to my eye.

Here's the question: Do you gurus with suspension experience think that this is usable with some elbow grease and 600-grit sandpaper, or should I bite the bullet and get new pins?

Usable with a little elbow grease? Sure, but it looks like one of those do it now or do it later jobs. I would replace it now while you have the front end apart.

Sure, Whassamatta with it. The pin isn't a hinge, it just holds the bushing inner collar, tight on the shoulder.
If you look on the inside of the large washer, there are raised areas around the diameter where the washer contacts the inner sleeve of the bushing. When you tighten the nut, the washer binds the inner collar to the stepped up shoulder on the pin. Whan properly torqued, the washer squeezes the protruding rubber and this is where you get the isolation and shock buffering, when the suspension moves.
