Interior: Map Light

Hello Again.

Under the dash on my 63 Avanti. There is a hole with a harness sticking out. Was it a light? Does anyone have a picture of this light or what is was?

If you're talking about under the dash under the radio, then it is a map light. I don't have a photo but it's the same light assembly used over the rear side windows.

Thank you. Any ideas on the vent windows. They dont stay open. Is there an adjustment? Just started winter projects.

There is an adjustment, however, it's a bear to get to. You have to take most of the door apart to reach it. It is a clamp that surrounds a nylon bushing (which is itself) on the lower pivot shaft of the vent window frame. The shop manual shows location . Unless you are willing to drill holes in the door, the whole vent frame is removed.(to access)

Are you talking about the door vent windows or the rear side flip-out windows?
