  • Pulling OHV-6 & OD tranny

I'm about to lift out the engine and tranny of my project '63 and noticed the first U-joint appears to be a factory pressing. There's gotta be an easier way than loosening the rear joint and dragging everything out...or is there? Thanks!

Nope... but the good news is it really is easy. The front of the driveshaft will slide out of the trans. once you have it free.

Thanks Nate, I kinda figured that, so I drained the tranny ahead of time!

Hey Tom, put a tarp under there too! I drained mine (with a suction pump!) and it still puked about a quart onto my concrete.
