Anybody know of how to obtain a parking pawl that will fit my 55 commander v-8. I'm taking it to the shop to get new seals and checked out as it wasn't holding in park. Pretty sure it will need a pawl so I thought I would try to locate it first. Trans is a B/w DG250M # sp-27571 .

SI lists the pawl as part #529840, available only as part of extension case assembly.
They used to list it separately. Someone must have it as such.

I broke mine on a hill and there was a little pressure to move it from Park. It is easy to break.
I did have difficulty finding another one when I had the transmission rebuilt.Comment
