going to install new plug wires on my 62 Hawk, question which is better copper or silicone? or does it make a difference? thanks.

Copper or silicone.......these two things are totally different items!
One transmits electrons...the other keeps those electrons within boundries.
Silicone is currently one of the best wire insulators.
Copper wire will tell the electricity where to go...but may also interfere with your radio and ignition if you have a CD (MSD, Crane, Mallory, Pertronix, etc.) box of some kind.
Currently the better material is a Monel, spiral wrapped core that has much the same properties of copper as far as electricity movement, but also has very good RFI (radio frequencity interference) properties. While some may be slightly better than others...most all are better than the ignition wires of 15+ years ago.
You'll be happy with most any mid-grade or higher spiral wrapped plug wire set from your local parts house.

I sell reproductions of the V8 wires done by Brian Scott's company and he does NASCAR wires. $30 to your door. They are high performance radio suppression wires.
