  • Advantage to thermostatic fan clutch?

Looking to replace my fan clutch & seems like the newer thermostatic ones may be the way to go. Anyone know of a bolt on?(for 64 Avanti)

Your stock clutch is thermostatic. I'm not aware of any modern thermostatic replacements for the originals. You can get a non-thermostatic one from any number of vendors however.

Flexible fan blades reduce horsepower losses some and tend to be less noisy at high speed, but are still far from perfect. If you aren't worried about orginality, an electric fan may be a good alternative. The run only when needed and are thus more energy effecient.
