  • Interior: Correct Headliner for 1963 Lark F6

Many many years ago, I picked up what I believe is the correct headliner for my '63 Lark 2-door sedan from Newman & Altman. My car is the "custom" trim level, F6.
It was my understanding that customs and regals came with a white headliner with black PRINTED dots - is this correct? I thik Daytonas and Cruisers may have had actual holes, while customs came with printed dots.
Does anyone out there have a '63 Lark custom 2-door (F6) with the orginal headliner, and could check to see if the dots are printed on?

    Thanks!

Not sure about Larks, but the GT Hawk had holes in 62-63 and dots in 64.

      my custom

My 63 R1 custom has holes- big ones and little ones! When it comes to replacing it i'm not picky if you have one for sale.

I was told by Dennis Lambert at the old SASCO that Studebaker had both types (holes and painted dots) on the assembly line in 64. So either is correct. I didn't ask him about 63 though.

Pretty certain '63's were all perforated. Suspect the transition to printed in '64 used up remainder of factory floor stock. I purchased a NOS one from Dennis a number of years ago for my '63 Cruiser; still in the factory shipping tube. It was perforated.
