    I'll give this a try on my 40 Champ trunk lid which has bracing behind a rather shallow but sizable dent. I too suspect that the difference between 18 and 24 -26 gauge might be too much, but it's worth a try if it avoids using a slide hammer or copper weld-ons. I'll post the results. Thanks for the tip.

      So, I guess the spray can should contain something that can be cleaned off, should any of it escape onto the body's surface (i.e., not spray paint!). I'll try it on a hail sized dent on my Corolla and let you know.

        Don't tell the EPA but freon might work as well as CO2 if you can't find it. I suspect anything they drops the hot metal down 100 below zero in a hurry will work.
