  • Brakes: Brake Question

I am using the Turner disc brake conversion with Monti Carlo calipers in the front and an 8" ford in the rear.
My 8 " for is a little odd from the ones I normally use, as it has 2 1/2" x 10" shoes.
It calls for 7/8" bore wheel cylinders rather than the common 15/16" cylinders I normally use. As I plan to use a Villager master cylinder with a remote resevoir so I don't have to go under the floor to fill it.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this combo??
I know Junior used it. And Junior I have pm'd you re your rear wheel cylinders and shoes??
    Thanks for any imput here.

Brian, according to the O'reilly auto parts website, the wheel cylinder bore is 3/4" and the brake shoe size is 9.5 x 2.06" for s-blazer rearend. Hope this helps, will locate photos and part nos. of the front calipers I used and the mod I had to make on them. Junior.

The part number for the T10 calipers is different from that of the Monte Carlo calipers recommended by Turner.
      ???????
Is there a reason you used the T10 over the Monte Carlo??
