  • radiato hose part #

Looking for a part # or application for a upper radiator hose. 54 coupe with a late 289, 2 bolt t-stat housing. The radiator is the original 54 design.
    Thanks

When I tried to hook the radiator hose up on my 52 Commander with a 64 289 engine, I found the radiator inlet smaller than the outlet on the engine. I couldn't find a hose that would fit, so I had the radiator shop put a larger nipple on the radiator. Since I had them recore it before, they didn't charge me to do it.

A later radiator will not work as 53-55 radiators are shorter than the later ones.

      does this help?

Alternately, a '55 through ?? water manifold will fit on the later engine. a pre-55 one will not work as it will not clear the die cast timing cover (earlier cars had a sheetmetal cover without a fuel pump mount.)

      hope this helps
