  • Electrical: Truck Battery Cables

My newly acquired 52 R6 truck was previously converted to 12 volts.
The truck battery still has the heavy, thick cables, which I thought were for
6 volt systems. Is this a problem, or should I change the cables over to the
    standard 12 volt size?

    Thanks,

    Joe D.

Leave them. They don't need to be that heavy, but it certainly does not hurt anything.

Six volt cables are great for 12 volt systems, it is when people try to use 12 volt cables on six volt cars that they have problems.
