  • Steering: Steering wheel tilted

Hello again to the greatest car forum. My problem this time,is my steering wheel is at a slight angle. When I turn the wheel the horn blows. i took the wheel off and turned it around and fixed the problem. Is there any adjustments or fixes to correct this problem?

Your horn wire inside the steering jacket is worn and grounding out against the shaft or housing. The solution is to replace the horn wire. The best way to do it is to use the old wire to pull the new one through. Easy if you do it right, about an hour all together with removing the wheel and disassemble/reassemble the horn. It can take all day if you don't get the replacement wire in the first time.

Thank you. I did that already. The actual steering wheel is slightly tilted. Maybe someone leaned on the top of the wheel.

Well, it sounds to me like you are in the market for a steering wheel!

It is definitely time to find out why it is "tilted"! As wacker said, it's probably time to look for a good one.
