I am hoping your oil reservoir is the oil filter. In that case you are correct. One line is the pressure line to the filter, the other goes to the firewall to the gauge. A short flexible hose (on my car it is secured to a bracket under the passenger side rear head bolt) isolates the line. The oil filter line should have a restrictor fitting. I don't know about Studes for sure but I know many other cars user a restricted fitting for the oil pressure line too so a leak does not empty the oil quite so fast. Good luck!

    Oil Pump lines

I'm stumped. There are two lines coming out of the top of the oil pump on my 52 Champion6. One goes to the oil reservoir. I get that. The other one goes to....oil pump gauge on the instrument cluster? I'm sure someone out there knows the answer to this easy one.
    Thanks!
