I have a T86E OD unit from a 59 big six truck. I "think" it's different tail shaft though.

Anyone know if JP's truck trans. is different or not? Or do you have one?

That's reassuring to hear, Mike! I surely WILL get with you if I don't find one closer[^]

I've made mention here of a good friend right here in town that's widely known as the local Studebaker nut (anyone here remember my post about "Stude h***"?); first order of business is to see if he's got one for me <fingers crossed>

I'll call him tomorrow, and if he has one I'll let you all know ASAP! If not, I'll be back to beg[:I]

Actually, considering it hasnt really moved in 7 months, I dont think
it would really miss the transmission ..... BUT .. hopefully if what
I did today does what I expect it too .. that could change soon.

Well, struck out with my local Stude guy; so if anyone has a good one with O/D and are willing to ship, let me know your price! I need one soon, or Molly won't be going to SB.....[V]

Sounds like Mike (hotwheels63r2) is a sure bet. Yes, it will cost probably a 100 bucks to get it to you, but that's the penalty with 3-somethingt a gallong gas nowdays.
All I've got here (to spare) are automatics.

Have you checked with Frank to see if he has one up on the hill in "Studebaker Heaven"?
