I have a steering wheel puller kit, can a studebaker steering wheel be pulled with one of these kits or do I need a special tool?

Depends on what year. 53 up yes, earlier and you have to make an adapter.

Just be real careful of the horn wire inside the steering column. Either push it down inside while you are using the puller and hope you can fish it out again later, or place a castle nut upside down between the puller and steering column and route the horn wire through one of the reliefs in the castle nut and let it lay off to the side while you use the puller.
