  • Body / Glass: Champion Hood Same As Commander Hood?

Does anybody know if the hood of a 1949 Champion (car) is the same as a 1948 Commander (car) hood?

Due to the length of the Commander 245 "Big Six" the Hoods AND Fenders could not be the same length.

NOPE. But 47,48, and 49 Commanders will be the same. Might have to fill a trim hole or two. Make sure you know who you're dealing with. Outside the "Studebaker world" many think the bulletnose from 50-51 are also 49,48, etc.

That sounds like Steve Doerschlag, he knows his Studebakers. I would have no problem buying from him.
