    My 1955 President::: Where is the ground cable from the engine to the body located. I have cleaned the one from the engine to the battery.[^]

    Curt, there should be a ground wire from the passenger side (unless you live down under<G&gt motor mount to the frame. As far as a specific ground from the engine to the body itself, I am not sure. I have seen some pictures of mid-50s Champions that have a ground wire from the back of the engine to the firewall.....so I added one to my Champion. Figured it couldn't hurt. The rest of my cars I am not sure. Hopefully someone with a '55 President can tell you for sure about a ground strap to the firewall.

      When it comes to grounds, more is better. You can add any number of ground straps/cables to several places and it can only help. I include: engine, front frame, starter mounting bolt (very important), interior body at dash mount. They can be discreetly hidden if you don't want them to show.
