    I read in the repair manual that the dual reservoir MC were put on vehicles starting in 64, yet my 64 Cruiser has a single reservior MC. Which is correct and how difficult is it to change over to a dual as I like idea of having a back up in case something ruptures?

    If your Cruiser has disk brakes, the single is correct.

        Yes, a Cruiser should have Avanti disc brakes and a single master. It
        would be easy to just use the Avanti II style master cylinder and do
        a split at the front Y-block. On my Avanti, I just plugged the port
        for the rear brakes in the "Y", and used a union to extend the rear
        brake line up to the dual master. You have a swinging pedal, so its
        a simple task to add an electric brake light switch under the dash. I
        recommend the bottom one on Bob Johnstones website :
