  • M-Series Dome Light Switch Location

I am adding a dome light switch to the door jams on my M15A-20 and don't have a clue where the best/correct place to mount it. Does anyone know where it should go?

There is about 14" of pillar where it could go:

AFAIK, don't think they originally had them so, anyplace would be fine.

The reason I am asking is because I do not have access inside the pillar. The pillar is boxed in with a few small slots where I can run the wiring. My concern is there something inside that might interfere.

Just about 4 or 5 inches down from the top end of your measure should be safe, but I don't think hardly anyone has ever done it so, you're on your own on that one. Not likely a fuel line in there!

Make sure any opening within the piller is large enough so the wire don't get pinched with body flexing,
