I have a 1964 Champ 1/2 ton truck with a 259 engine. The problem I am having is that the harmonic dampener and the fan belt pulley do not spin true. There is a slight wobble that I have tried to fix but am not able to overcome. I think that the old pulley my be bent and the AC pulley is mounted beyond it. as it is further out, I would assume that the wobble is increased the further you go. I would like to replace what is there with something modern, Does anyone have any experience with a conversion? Please help. My e-mail is harleypub2761@hotmail.com. thank you for your assistance.

I believe ATI will custom make you one for around $400. Stock parts are available from vendors for far less.
Might just need new rubber cushions. Make sure key is in place and good shape and the center 1 1/2" bolt is tight and secured with the french lock.Bez Auto Alchemy

Bradly,
There is probably nothing wrong.
The rubber insert (and bolt pattern) that goes into the flat plate harmonic disc has only ONE correct position.
One of the bolt holes, and threaded holes in the crank adapter, is offset a teeny bit.
This prevents the disc from being assembled in the incorrect position (which will mess up the timing mark position).
Sometimes, the disk does not get put on right, and the rubber cushion gets 'forced' to get the bolts in.
This can cause that wobble you speak of.
The rubber can also get real hard and brittle from age.
Before I would spend big bucks on a high tech upgrade, I would get a new rubber from a good Stude vendor, and carefully remove the pulley(s) and plate, and reassemble, being careful to get the hole alignment perfect.
I think it would take an accident to bend those parts, unless someone ran the pulley up with an impact wrench and caught it on the lip.

'Just noticed this, Bradley. Jeff "Deepnhock" Rice is exactly right. Those are easily installed incorrectly due to the rubber being able to "give" just enough to permit the wrong orientation on the crankshaft.
Be careful so as to not force anything to go on wrong. Jeff lined it out well. BPWe've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
