    Here are the instructions and a diagram for older Champs. Your '55 shouldn't be too different.

    Here are links to three pics that show the partial low oil filter mounting on a '55 Champion. They are courtesy of Buddy Romine of Georgia, he sent them to me so I knew how to mount the filter and where the lines run for my '54 Champion. I am using hard lines on mine, instead of the hoses (cheaper<G>, and IMHO looks neater). If you click on the picture, a full size version will come up that really shows the details.
