    re-installing 3 years after removal...

    I can tell from my old pics that it sits tilted in the pan, is it really only secured by the back 2 screws?

    And the 2 holes in the front of the deflector, just connect to the core with speed nuts (no hardware shown in parts book)?

    Sounds about right! Posting a few pics. could help confirm it.

      Mr Welcome- if you found those pics could you re-post?
      Or anyone else w/ info- it just seems weird that the front of the heater is loose in the pan, like it would bounce up and down if you hit a bump

          I believe that there is some type of foam insulation strips used to protect and hold the core in place. You could use a couple of strips of foam tape like the stuff used when mounting a camper top on a pick-up bed.

            Now I see what's wrong... when they recored the heater they put the front bracket on upside down!!! So it won't bolt to the floor!!
