  • 82 Avanti II oil pan removal

Hi Ya'll..I have a friend of mine who's a tech at the same Ford dealer that I'm employed at. He does a little work on the side at home, and might be working on an 82 Avanti II. This car's needing the oil pan to come off, and after my buddy looked at it, he has a question. Between the center link, PS components and assorted front end linkage, it looks as if the engine's going to come out, or at least get jacked up, to remove the oil pan. This car has a chevy 305, and he's wondering if he's on the right track, or if there's something he's not seeing..
    Thanks for the help!
