    If I understand it correctly, the throttle return check (on Stromberg WW) slows closure of the throttle body on AD cars. Why is this more inportant on AD cars than on standard transmission cars? All of my Stude's are automatic; I am not sure they have working throttle return checks.

    If it returns to idle to fast when in gear with the AD the engine can die due to the sudden load before torque converter reacts . This is not a problem with a clutch.

      Thanks, since none of cars cut out as you describe, is it safe to assume throttle return checks are working???? Ken, deltaviille, Va
