    The little sections on the grille on my '56 Sky Hawk are pretty crummy , with pitting, etc. What's the best way to clean these, or are there repro/NOS replacement parts available?

    If they are really bad, white or green colored pits, use SOS on them and follow with WD 40. If they are just hazed looking, use 00 or 000 steel wool, follow with WD 40 it takes a bit of time and grilles shred the steel wool quickly.

      Hi, Peter,

      Since the grille casting itself is pretty indestructable, there are plenty of decent used ones around. I've got a couple for sale. Heavy as the hubs of hell to ship, however.

        Yeah, it's amazing how much easier the hood is to open when all that weight isn't hanging on the forward end.
