  • AFB float information needed

    Hi,
Does anyone know the difference between the floats used in the R1 and R2 carbs? The part numbers are different. The part number for the R1 is the same as for the AFBs used on standard 259/289 motors. I've pulled a float from an R2 carb but can't see the difference when compared with a float from a standard AFB.
    Thanks,
    Leon Martin, Australia.

    Thanks,
The R 2 has an aluminum "X" inside to reinforce it.

      Thanks Ted,
I temporarily used one from a 3540S so I could move the car. The blower is not connected and the 3507S carb needs a rebuild so I'll get a correct float later.
      Cheers, Leon.
