  • Heater hose location

On my 62 Hawk the hoses were cut and a single hose was looped on the water control manifold. Which outlet goes to the heater control valve? Which is the return???? [8D]

The outlet closest to the thermostat or upper radiator hose goes to the heat control, the return is the lower nipple.

That brings up another question. Which nipple on the valve is the feeder? Does it matter? I believe pumped pressure should be behind the valve plunger.

I believe, but am not certain, that outlet hose from the manifold should go to the angled portion of the heat control valve (the side toward the engine). From there the water should go to the heater core.
