  • 59-64 Shop Manual

In my shop manual, in the engine section, there is no information on the 289. Is this info on the 289 missing or just not available. If anyone knows where I can get this info I would greatly appresicate it. Thanks in advance.

My shop manual is a 62 to 64 Shop Manual. It covers the 259-289 v8s together in the fifth section of Group III. The jet thrust v8 is listed separately in the sixth section of Group III.

There are no engine procedures that I can think of that differ between the 259 & 289. Only the specs like: stroke and cubic inches are different because the only 2 parts that are different, are Crankshaft and Pistons.
