  • 63 Lark engine ID ??

I recently aquired a 63 Lark. I'm not sure what engine it has in it or if it is original to the car. The number on the top, front, right of the block is V574853? Any info would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Kenny

That number would be right for a 1963 259 V8.

Thanks for the info! Is there any way to tell if it is original to the car?

yes - get a copy of the car's production order from the Stude museum. It'll have that original engine number on it.
