  • torque specs

    I don't have access to my shop manual right now, so can anyone provide me with the torque specs for the main and rod caps on my 232? Thought I'd plasti-gauge them to check wear. Thanks,

    80 ft-lbs IIRC for the mains. Don't remember the rods.

            And I should have said that that is with 30 weight oil on the threads and under the bolt or nut heads. Those are Stude specs and were from the 50's. If you use molly grease or some of the new assembly lubes you have to adjust the specs accordingly to the manufactures tables.
