    Ok, for a free round at your local Hooters what did Studebaker call the device to control pollution? And what was the p/n? (Late V-8s)

        It was a PCV valve (Positive crank-case ventilation).It was on the rear of the valley cover & allowed engine oil fumes to go through it via a hose ,& returned to the carb & re-burned.I believe this started in 63.I could get the # if U really need it.--Kevin

            Mr. Biggs is our BIG winner!! He is correct on both questions!!

            Since Biggs has declined[V] the grand prize which would have been a trip to the local Hooters of his choice[] (aka the breast emporium, or mammary central)to enjoy a case of "suds" of his choice.

            We think Molson's would have fit the bill beautifully due to it's rep as "being as silky smooth as mothers milk"

                Speaking of gals and Studebakers, there's one Stephanie Studebaker running for a house seat in the California legislature!

                  RE: South Bend...

                  Was there in '97, '02.[] Will not be going to Gettysburg this year, brakes still apart on the Avanti....but will "ask" the Mrs. if South Bend is do-able next year ...in the Avanti.....(the A/C had better be working...if it kraps out I am dead meat).....the other half is well past that time...and is always HOT!! I call the bedroom the meat locker 'cause the temps can never be cool enough!!
