  • 56 wagon back-up lights/ Lark????

I have been in the market for a set of back-up lights for my 56 wagon. It appears they are extremely hard to find. Someone has told me that some Larks have the same lights but were running lights. Here is the question. I still have both housings buit everything has been broken out. I was reading the Studebaker Int catologe and on page 127 they show parking light kits (without base) for 59-61 Larks. Are these the same as what I got and Need??? One more thing are the bases chrome? Hard to tell on mine so are so weathered. Thanks.

They're not even CLOSE to the Lark lites. While I've never compared them, at a glance they look CLOSE TO the lites (parking lites) on 59-60-61 Hawks. But a quick check of the parts books reveals they don't share a single part.
BTW, 56 Hawks used that same BU lite - which might explain why they're tough to find.[}]

My mistake, Stude Int. says 59-61 Hawk not Lark.

There was a vendor on ebay that had a bunch of the lenses and rings for these. She may have sold them all by now. Her seller name is moniqueinc on ebay.

I am impressed. I went out and messured what is left of mine and these are real close. I'll probally go this route. One last question. My lights are currently bolted through the top of the bumper between the tailight and tailgate. Is this correct??? Someone has said they bolt to the splash apron. I would like to confirm the correct position before I rechrome my bumper. Thanks.
