  • Engine Paint Scheme for 52 Studebaker

Trying to find out what color the engines were in the 52 Studebaker Commanders. In the process of restoring one right now and can't find the info. Any help would be appreciated!!

    Welcome, Deb.

They were Studebaker engine green; a gloss olive enamel, like the old Bell Telephone service vehicles.

Studebaker vendors have it available in spray cans or quarts. I don't know anyone who has the formula locally and don't think you can get a Dulux mix anymore. Others will chime in here.

V-8's had black rocker arm covers (notice, I did not call them valve covers).
