  • Bleeder Size

Anyone know the exact size of the Studebaker Avanti rear drum bleeder screw(s)?

I know that the front caliper bleeder size is 3/8 X 24.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The Avanti rear wheel cylinder bleed screw is 1/4X28 thread size. Hope this helps.

Which ISN'T much meat by the time they've been drilled hollow for the fluid to exit! That's why they twist off do damned easy once they get a bit rusted.

As has been mentioned before, if you are replacing the bleeder, apply a coat of anti-sieze compound to the threads before installing. You will thank you the next time.
