  • Oil Filter Question

    I have a Lark VI with the 170 Champion motor. It has the upside-down spin-on filter that mounts on a bracket that is held on with two cylinder head bolts.

    My question is this;
    What is the correct oil filter part number(s) and can I get it at most parts stores?

    Thanks.

        Patience, patience, my friend. You will get an answer eventually

        Look for a Fram PB50 or equivalent. I'm pretty sure that's the right one.

            Thanks guys. I was able to do a little research on the WIX website and found a dusty WIX 51050 at a local parts store. It seems that these filters also fit Allis Chalmer tractors and other industrial/farm engines.

            On a sidenote, since Stude outsourced so many parts, I am finding that many of the parts were used in other industrial applications. I found that out when I bought a fuel pump.
