  • 48 CHAMPION FUEL PRESURE?

Shop manual says 4 to 5 P.S.I. for manual fuel pump. My electric pump is 6 P.S.I. Is that to much? Car is running good but spark plugs are a little black around edges and so is tailpipe, and i'm only getting 15 mpg. I've rebuilt the carb and have even went back thru it a couple times! Do you think i might need a fuel pressure regulater? Or perhaps i should put a manual fuel pump on it? Champ[8]

Get an adjustable pressure regulator and set it at 3 or 4 lbs. 6 is too much![B)]
