  • New 2 X 2 Intake

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I did a search but can't find any info on this new intake. Does anyone know anything about it?

    Thanks

Looks like a new recasting of a 50's design, perhaps from Stu-V or the like.

Is this the one that Lionel Stone is repoing? I know he has listed a 2X2 but I have never seen one. It does look like the Weiand design.

I have bought and prepped a few of these.
Be careful to check them out closely, as the core shift is so bad the boring of the one side of the carb throttle bore breaks through the wall of the other side.
Could cause balance issues on one or two cylinders.

The manifold came in last week.
Most of it looks good, although there is some
              cleanup required.

I slapped a couple backdraft carbs on it and it looks
pretty good. Now I need to figure out how to
              make some screens or aircleaners.

Watch for the alignment to the heads, some are way off.

There was a complete 50's Stude engine that had a manifold similar to the one you've pictured listd on EBay a few days ago. Looked like it had been sitting in storage for a very long time.

How does the RR throttle bore look down deep?

                      Like it needs some trimming.
