  • 56 wagon gas tank

As many of you know gas tanks are pretty much a replacement item on a restoration. Mine is no exception. In the market for a new one. Was wondering if anything interchanges such as sedans or other year wagons or if anyone repo these. Looking for help. Thanks

In a given year tanks were usually the same but the filler neck may have been welded in a different spot-especially on wagons. I can't speak to your specific case but, are you sure your tank can't be repaired and restored? I've done several and some of them appeared to be beyond hope.

Pretty sure. It has a big dent in the bottom and many rust holes on all corners. It appears this car sat on the ground (resting on the tank)outside for a couple of years before I got it. Luckly the tank saved the frame and rear floors. Thanks
