    Hi... I have a Studebaker V8 289, do you know what the average fuel consumption should be?? the engine is standard.

    The engine is standard well that is a start but which transmission ie automatic, four speed, three speed, three speed with over drive or a toploader and what rear end gears are you running and which body style and of course which carb are you using two barrel, four barrel.

    Without more info who knows and if you drive like Ted on the strip 3mpg would be great.

    If you car is ugly then it better be fast.....

      Not to mention that most heavy fuel consumption comes from a heavy foot on the pedal.
