  • Parts game

I'm gonna run some photos of parts from time to time. Let's see who can correctly identify them. In some cases, just identifying it for what it is will suffice. In other cases, I'll want to know not just WHAT it is, but also at least one specific model it's used on.[}]

Here's the first gamepiece. What is it and what's one car you would find it on???

BTW - it's approx. one inch long. Made of steel.

Sumthin someone made to make some guy in the future ask questions and be confused about it. [8D]

Actually, I have no idea. Maybe it goes behind the door panel on the door/window handle, on a 195X Studebaker. [^], or on the back of a dash from a, uh, Lark???

55's pretty darned close. These ARE moulding clips that hold the stainless trim on around the side windows of 55 & 56 C-body cars. (Probably on 55 sedans too. I'm too lazy to confirm that in the body parts book[xx(]) I've not seen them on any other models, but then I haven't seen EVERY trim installation on postwar Studes either!
These are usually rusted away or fall apart when you go to remove the trim. Tough to find these buggars nowdays. I bought about 10 of them off ebay awhile back. Don't have a use for them ..... at the moment.
