  • Vented oil cap?

On my 12/1963 cast V-8 block ( in a 1955 President ) there is a PCV valve. Someone has the oil fill tube as an original. The oil filler cap is vented, is this correct for the engine with a PCV valve?

It won't hurt anything. In fact, if the old 4-hole valve covers were used, that vented cap's essential!

    Miscreant at large.

It's a four hole cover. No moon design on the cover like some old fashioned four holers had.[:I]
