Well, I was in the midwest visiting relatives and went to the new Studebaker Museum in South Bend this week. I never saw the older one, but the new one is very nice. My only suggestion - wouldn't a mock up of a dealership from one era or another be great, complete with a few cars, all the advertising, & a parts/accessories counter. Maybe someday. Anyway, I did see Bob Bourke's car there. Nobody was around, so I slid my head under the car. I did NOT touch anything, for those that are concerned. I could not see any special reinforcement. I just took a quick look, but everything looked like a stock 54 assembly. Anything done to reinforce the frame is hidden from view.

I'm meeting with a structural engineer next week. In his spare time he's working on a 54 olds, and said he'd be happy to take a look at the Stude. I'll post any suggestions he has.
