  • testing Hydrovac unit

As I did more into my Export Hawk I keep finding more interesting modifications that were made over the years. The Hydrovac unit looks like new but it is disconnected. When I asked the former owner why he said the car did not have brakes after being woke from its 20 year sleep and when his mechanics rebuild the brake cylinder and master cylinder they disconnected the Hydrovac as they were unsure how it worked or better how to bleed it. They made a U-brake hose and connected the lines. The car has great brakes but the pedal throw is very long. My question is how do I test this unit or should I even try since it sat so long? I have ordered the new brake line connections. Thanks Harry
