  • Welded-on rear fenders-'53 C/K

If you really want to get ambitious, this is what it looks like:

These are big files, so be patient.

I've seen this done to a number of C-K cars. Most recently saw a '61 Hawk that had the fins welded and smoothed as well.
The '56-7-8 sedans had their rear quarters welded on too. This in spite of everything prior and after, having bolt-on rear quarters. (save for Sta Wagons & Avantis of course)

    Miscreant at large.

    1957 Transtar 1/2ton
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe
    1957 President 2-dr
    1955 President State
    1951 Champion Biz cpe
    1963 Daytona project FS

Eight million pixels takes a long time to load for those of us who's computers are as old as our cars.
Can some of these be resized before posting?[?]

Sorry...they are 480 x 640. I'll try some smaller ones next time. I was on dial up for quite a few years...so I feel your pain [^]

No Dick - the one I saw was painted a Black Cherry metallic. But I'd drive that red one any day. Damned fins are gorgeous![]
