  • Power Brake Remote Booster for Stude

    Does anybody know where I can obtain one of these?
    I have been told it was an option for Studes. It was a remote Power Brake Booster, installed downstream from the Master Cylinder. The beauty of it was that it could be installed anywhere near the Master Cyl. as long as the plumbing was correct. Thanks!

    I stock rebuilt/restored Hydrovac boosters for $250 outright, or $175 exchange.

            When I needed a remote booster, I couldn't get hold of the original type from any auto source. But, turned out they are used on caravans. I found exactly the right type and model, it was brand new and reaonably priced.

              Wow I just got my Hydrovac unit--it is going to be GOOD to have power brakes. Many thanks to JDP!

              One thing I do need is the 2 short flexible hoses to connect the power booster cylinder to the brake line tubing. Does anybody know who is making these? I really don't want to try to plumb it with steel lines.

                Most of the vendors carry the newly made brake booster hoses. Don't go for any NOS as they are likely brittle. Try SI at 317-462-3124.
