  • 62 hawk air conditioner panel

I'm having a difficult time reconciling the shop manual with my stude. I am trying to clean up a newly purchased Hawk as there are 40 years of interior dirt to remove, as well as heater ducts in need of repair. Any suggestions as to go about removing the air conditioner intstrument panel?

Any and all of the interior A/C in a Hawk (Factory A/C) is contained in the under-dash unit. Is this what you're talking about[?]

The round plastic air conditioning outlets have been reproduced (in case you need those). Try SI (maybe others).

I answered this fella's question via E-mail. He was wanting to know how to remove the underdash unit so he could access stuff behind the dash.

I have the same issue. My radio doesn't work and I'm afraid to take out the A/C under the dash to get to it. There's a rod or hose that's about 1/2" or so wide that goes down into the floor on the passenger side. Does that just pull out?
