  • Bullet Nose on 51 Champion

The 51 Champion G10 W3 four door I got for restoration has a 50 bullet (the four blade) and is all metal. I have been looking on Ebay for the three blade version which is suppose to be on this car.
[?]Is the three blade version (the center part) plastic, or are those I am seeing that are plastic reproductions? Maybe I am just dreaming and never seen a plastic one, but some how I seem to think one or two of the items for sale said plastic in their description, but right now I am not sure.

Thanks for any help you can give me. You guys have really helpful.

Jerry, the center piece of the 51s WAS plastic originally. Clear plastic that's painted silver on the inside. I've got one of the repops and it's nicely done. The other two parts of the 51's nose ARE chromed pot metal. Then there's a painted collar that goes around the outer edge of the outer chrome ring. It gets painted the body color.

    Miscreant at large.

Thank you very much Mr. Biggs, I am glad I am not losing my mind LOL. The one I see on Ebay presently does not say anything about being plastic, but it just looks like it is and you have confirmed that it should be. Now I can bid without worry. By the way if you don't mind, can you let me know the cost of a repop[?] Does it include everything other then that outer collar[?]

Part # 293261P is plastic center only; $65 plus shipping, available from SI and probably others.
