  • Bench to Bucket?

On my 53 Starliner I'm in the process of changing from the original bench type seat to a pair of later Hawk buckets. Did Studebaker my some chance use any of the original bench seat mounts in the floor board when they changed to bucket seats? If not, any tips. Thanks

You need to do some custom work on the inside mounts. You might be able to use the GT Hawk mounting plate that mounts over the tunnel and mounts the centers.

I think the GT Hawk plate is the ticket. The outside mounts appear to be the same bench and bucket. If you have a plate we could try to mock it up in my '55 just to see if it'd work.

Thanks for the info but I have no idea what this plate is you speak of. Does it attach the inner seat mounts and console to the floor pan? Does any one have on of these for sale?
