looking for some one that would know the numbers of trw or moog front coil springs to fit 59 lark with a v8 engine? thanks moose

I guess everyone's got a different opinion... IMHO the HD springs on my '55 coupe make it ride "just right." Of course my daily driver was a Porsche 944 for several years and a slightly modded Scirocco before that... I don't remember which car it was that JDP rode in but at one point he asked me if there were any springs at all in the suspension(hey, sucker would handle though.)
The HD springs are nowhere near as stiff as the factory springs in the 944, for example. To me they are a good balance between compliance and body control.

Moog part number for front coil springs for a '59 V-8 Lark (except taxi) is 3002. The number was classified as obsolete by Moog in 1973 (shows what they knew!). But who knows, some vendor somewhere may still have a set.

I'm trying to find the file....but years ago, I ran across a blurb on one of our forums that a mid west spring manufacturer made up a set of coil springs from the original manufacturer specs. I know they can do this for leaf springs....
