    What will happen to a 12volt horn if I hook it to my 6volt system.

      The other way around is great - 6 volt horn on 12 volt system. When I drove the LI Expressway a lot, I had this set-up. People would move over and then look for the truck (that wasn't there <G&gt. I think that you should forget about what you propose - 12 volt horn on 6 volt car.

            I would prefer an electric if possible but I thank you for the info I will keep it just in case I connot find a 6v.
